Dear Victor, My company has just announced that we are going to implement an enterprise wide Continuity Program. While this is terrific news, I am part of the steering committee and we aren’t sure whether to begin with a Disaster Recovery Plan for IT or Business Continuity Plans for the various departments. Can you help us with this?
Amazon EC2, Nirvanix, Rackspace, Joyent, Google Apps, Microsoft Azure, HP, Dell, EMC, Box, Dropbox, AT&T Synaptic, Enomaly, Flexiscale, GoGrid, 6Fusion, 8×8, Salesforce, Terremark, VirtuStream, Bluehawk, Cloudera, Rightscale, Cloudstack, Eucalyptus… The list goes on and on and on. How does an IT Executive keep up with the horde of cloud providers and still do his or her normal job and still expect to be productive?
I have two kids. One turns 3 in a month, the other turns 1 in 3 days. Every night I get home from work and I play with them for as long as they will stay up and then I put them to bed.
